The Samson Taurus Lifting Sling is engineered for demanding lifting operations in mining, construction, energy, manufacturing, and heavy industry applications where safety, weight savings, and durability are essential. Built with a strength-optimized HMPE core in a fabricated multi-loop design, Taurus slings deliver exceptional strength with dramatically reduced weight compared to traditional wire or chain slings.
A high-visibility braided polyester chafe body combined with HMPE chafe eyes provides excellent abrasion resistance and long service life, even in rugged environments. The Taurus conforms to ASME B30.9 standards and is tagged with Working Load Limits (WLL) for vertical, basket, and choker configurations at a 5:1 safety factor.
By reducing sling weight, Taurus slings allow for safer manual handling, faster change-outs, and increased productivity, while minimizing worker fatigue and injury risk.
